GOVERNMENT OF ARAGON .- The Minister of Environment, Alfredo Bone, opened the Fourth Meeting of Experts on water entitled "Water Management and Climate Change: Facing the uncertainties ", brings in Zaragoza to 60 national and international experts

The meeting is organized by the Aragon Water Institute (IAA), and has the support of CIAM (International Center for Water and the Environment), the International Water Resources Association (IWRA) and the Center for Third World of Water Management in Mexico.

In the opening ceremony, Alfredo Bone has been accompanied by Director of Water Institute of Aragon, Rafael Izquierdo, the chairman of the Third World Centre for Water Management in Mexico and the 2006 Stockholm Prize, Asit K. Biswas, and scientific advisor ICWE, Cecilia Tortajada. The Fourth International Meeting of Experts addressed until next Wednesday a comprehensive program of presentations and meetings, held in Building Cajalón of Zaragoza, in order to advance the search for answers to the new challenges of water management given the uncertainties posed by climate change.

The first day will address the impact of climate change on water resources from a global vision, with speeches by leading international experts, including Loïc Fauchon.

On Tuesday, a session will first English experience on water planning in relation to climate change, and practical experience in water management and adaptation to climate change in the systems of the deltas in the Netherlands and in farming systems countries Europe and India.
